ABOUT/CV
BIOGRAPHY
As a self-taught photographer, David Clifton-Strawn focuses his practice on portrait, figurative, documentary, and fashion-influenced photography, all of which he captures with a focus on his hometown, Atlanta, Georgia and the various communities that make up that rapidly changing city.
​
David's work has been exhibited across the United States, Canada and Europe, showcasing his ability to capture the essence of individuals with dignity, strength, and resilience.
His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and several private collections. He was the recipient of the 2022-23 City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs Emerging Artist Award in photography.

David currently serves as the Executive Director for the Atlanta Photography Group.
